This study aims to shed light on the field of designing digital newsroom websites, which is an area that needs more attention, due to the great importance of website design, as it is considered one of the most important factors for the success of the media strategy for digital newsrooms.

in our study, we relied on the descriptive approach, by analyzing copies of the home page of the Arabic website of al Jazeera network from 1998 to the beginning of 2022.

we found that the development of the website is in line with the development of web design in general, as it is affected by the content industry trends for digital platforms, and is moving more and more towards simplification by adopting the trend of infinite scrolling and minimalist design as a basic approach in building the site and publishing its content.
