This study aims at clarifying the concepts of creativity and innovation as one of the contemporary trends and strategic approaches that support the visions of sustainable development.

it seeks to introduce the creativity and innovation as one of the manifestations of dedicating this trend in libraries.

for this reason, the study focuses on the descriptive analytical approach.

it exhibits the extent of the possibility and ability of libraries to adopt 3D printing as a new technology that reflects the adoption of the principle of creativity and innovation, as well as the contribution of this technology in highlighting the new look of libraries.

the study reaches a proposed vision for the application of 3D printing technology in libraries.

it concludes that the adoption of this technology requires work and planning based on clear strategies.

moreover, the study confirmed that changing the functional stereotype and the traditional template for specialization and expanding the visions related to the development of the profession is necessary.
