Abstract EN

God has subjugated to serve the sunnah men who defend and scrutinize it to distinguish the correct from the weak using their minds, and this is what prompted me to search for the extent to which the Muhaddiths use their minds in hadith criticism.

i divided my research into an introduction, five demands, and a conclusion.

in the first requirement, i clarified what is meant by the intellect considered in hadith criticism, then i showed the Muhadditheen consideration of reason when listening in the second requirement, when updating in the third requirement, when judging the narrators in the fourth requirement, and when judging hadiths in the fifth requirement.

i have reached the following : the role of the mind is in rooting the correct scientific bases for hadith criticism.

the Muhadditheen have set limits for the human mind, which is that it is limited.

and it is not confined in terms of abundance.

-the Muhadditheen took care of reason in accepting the hadith and responding to it upon hearing, so they do not write about anyone until they ask about it, and when updating ; it is not permissible to narrate a weak hadith except by explaining its weakness, and when judging the narrators ; they often insult the narrator with one denounced news he brought, and when judging hadiths.

the hadith cannot contradict the mind.
