Abstract EN

This study attempts to clarify the role of foreign direct investment on sustainable development by studying its impact on some of its indicators (economic, social and environmental) in the period between (2000-2020) in light of the development reality in Algeria and the current conditions witnessed by the world.

therefore, we tried to focus on the importance of foreign direct investment in achieving sustainable development, as foreign direct investment is the most important source of funding that most countries, especially developing ones, prefer, as they avoid resorting to other sources of funding that lead to dependence and domination, such as foreign debt and international subsidies.

Algeria, like these countries, is making significant efforts to benefit from the benefits of this investment, by providing incentives, exemptions and guarantees, as well as following appropriate economic policies in order to increase the proportion of foreign investment flows to Algeria in order to achieve the goal of achieving sustainable development.
