Abstract EN

The main aim of this study is to diagnose the reality of the foreign investment environment in Algeria, and clarify the significance of good governance indicators for evaluating the suitability of investment environment in Algeria to attract foreign investments from the perspective of international and regional institutions.

to achieve the study's aim, we relied on the analyzing and discussing the contents of both the global competitiveness report and the Arab economies competitiveness report about Algeria regarding the relationship between the governance indicators and the foreign investment environment.

the study concluded that the indicators of good governance in Algeria are still weak, as it occupies the last ranks compared to Arab countries, and that most of the indicators were below average, which indicates the possibility of benefiting from them in stimulating the attraction of foreign investors.
