Protection of intellectual property rights in Algeria

This study aims to clarify the legal means to protect intellectual property rights, in the context of e-commerce, where technological development and the emergence of e-commerce led to the development of new forms of intellectual property.

it has evolved from written and printed traditional works to digital works in an electronic form, available on the global web, such as e-books and computer programs, which facilitated the process of obtaining and violating them, through piracy or penetration.

the study results confirm the existence of what is known as the infringement of intellectual property rights in e-commerce.

this prompted the Algerian legislator to protect her both criminally and civilly, as he gave the crimes contained therein a description of the misdemeanor of imitation, and then arranged harsh penalties and civil compensation for her.
