In order to study the cultural issues related to the implementation of international financial reporting standards (IFRS) in Algeria, our research was based on the following cultural concepts: Hofstede and gray (1988) factors, religion, language and colonialism.
this paper presents the approach of our survey on accounting values (AVS) for a sample of 150 users and preparers of financial statements in Algeria.
the results revealed the incompatibility of the profile of accounting values in Algeria with the favorable profile of IFRS in terms of conservatism and uniformity, as well as problems related to the translation of IFRS from English into the working language in Algeria.

Dans le but d'étudier les problèmes culturels liés à la mise en œuvre des normes internationales d'information financière IFRS en Algérie, notre recherche s’est basée sur les concepts culturels suivants: les facteurs de Hofstede et gray (1988), la religion, la langue et le colonialisme.
ce document présente la démarche de notre enquête sur les valeurs comptables (AVS) pour un échantillon de 150 utilisateurs et préparateurs d'états financiers en Algérie.
les résultats ont révélé l'incompatibilité du profil de la valeur comptable en Algérie avec le profil favorable aux IFRS en termes de conservatisme et d’uniformité, ainsi que des problèmes liés à la traduction des IFRS de l'anglais vers la langue de travail en Algérie.
