This study examines the episodic memory in a grand mal seizure, the aim is to detect the impact of epilepsy by the duration of the injury and the type of seizure on memory in particular episodic memory, as well as how episodic memory disorder affects subjective states of consciousness.

this is done through a case study approach using observation, clinical interview, case history, and testing the episodic memory.

both the work of Endel Tulving and Pascale Piolino are relied on to interpret the episodic memory.

the results indicate that the recurrence of a grand mal seizure leads to a weak recovery of episodic memories in the infected young man, and that the weak recovery of episodic memories is accompanied by a disturbance at the level of consciousness.
