Abstract EN

This article aims to highlight the role of the Sansmonian in providing social studies to the French government, particularly with regard to the theory of the war of extermination at the beginning of the occupation and then to provide economic studies to implement settlement colonial plans in Algeria with a focus on major projects, especially railways.

that's why theis one of the basic issues that still raise many problems around it.

especially their contributions to the consolidation of the main pillars of settler colonialism in Algeria after their failure in Egypt, as it is a colony of European settlement in general and the French in particular, and this is what threatened the Algerian identity and obliterated its character.

in view of the importance of this issue, especially with regard to facilitating the task of the French occupation, the Sansimonians were calling to go along with military colonialism alongside European civil immigration, accordingly, Algeria has known investments and establishments in all fields and in all directions.

this is to encourage and facilitate the settlers' lives on the one hand, and to harness all energies and natural resources to serve France on the other.

however, despite the achievement of the major economic facilities that Algeria has known thanks to their interventions, which are mainly represented in the construction of the road network and the construction of dams, bridges, ports and others, the repercussions of this policy were disastrous for the Algerian society, which has known a life of misery and marginalization until independence.
