This study addresses the definition of the phonological terminology, in our Arab heritage, which we find it in various fields including linguistics as in Alkhalil Ben Ahmed Alfarahidi, Sibawayeh and Ibn Djenni’s writings and philosophy as it’s included in our research.

the Muslim philosophers’ books are full of phonological researches and their terminologies.

considering the strong relationship between philosophy and language science, our research aims at retrieving the phonological terminology with the Muslim philosophers, their analysis, reviving it and knowing the extent of their closeness to modernists.

as a study sample, we’ve chosen clarity brothers and honesty friends.
