All the daily activities and actions carried out by the judicial institutions (the Supreme Court, the Judicial Councils, the Courts...) located across the states of Algeria, lead to the production of a huge number of documents of various shapes and types.

Which is the mirror reflecting what has been termed the judicial archive The Judicial Archive is one of the most important archives in terms of content and the time periods it covers.

It is used by individuals and institutions to establish their rights and property.

It is also a very useful source for the history of law, providing interesting perspectives for sociology or historical anthropology, economics and even politics.

On this basis, the judicial archive attracted the attention of the countries of the world, so laws were enacted for it to show the way it is managed and preserved, in order to preserve institutional memory and essential knowledge Hence, this study came to shed light on the judicial archive by introducing its components and types, and highlighting its importance in scientific research.
