comparative literature has raised a great deal of controversy in literary and critical circles and it has been dressed up in schools and methodological perceptions that differed according to defferent visions and ideological oriontations of each school it is the dominance of the French conception which set strict controls for this fieled of knowledge and confined it to literary exchanges to the American school which sought to declare an epistimic break with the European perception based on the overlap between literary and artistic which allowed it to lead to an Arab school, that was dominated by the European historical perception and, it was a late in absorbing the new critical trends in comparative literature.
