The objective of setting up the quality assurance system in Algerian higher education institutions is to modernize the higher education system, including educational programs and scientific research.

to support this system, a continuous evaluation system must be developed ; this evaluation can be internal or external.

internal evaluation is called self-evaluation; it aims to follow the development dynamics of the different activities about the national reference.

this study aims to highlight the importance and effectiveness of the self-evaluation process in improving the quality of scientific research while presenting the EHEC school's experience in evaluating scientific research.
