Abstract EN

Through the issuance of the law N°.18-07 of June 10, 2018, relating to the protection of individuals in the processing of personal data, Algeria has put in place the legal framework for the protection of personal data in response to the requirements of the technological developments and to the provision of the constitution.

the legislator’s objective is to guarantee a high level of legal protection of personal data within the framework of respect for human dignity privacy and public freedoms.

this law includes a series of provisions to achieve this objective.
