This study aims to define the concept of sustainable development by researching this concept and its development to agree that the definition of sustainable development is that development that meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their needs.

It was enumerated by the United Nations General Assembly in 2015 with 17 goals, 199 targets and 244 indicators in order to transform the world and achieve a better future by 2030 and to consider the dimensions of sustainable development represented in three dimensions: the environmental dimension, the economic dimension and the social dimension, followed by the indicators of sustainable development, which were identified The number of its objectives, with a focus on the environmental performance index.
