Abstract EN

The Algerian southwest region and its population have drawn the attention of researchers and historians from an ancient era.

They have been singled out for studies that have not yet been carried out.

This strategic position of the Algerian southwest has led France to study its colonial agenda in several respects, including the sending of scientific and exploratory missions, together with military campaigns, to the desert to explore, study and examine the culture and composition of these conservative communities, in preparation for their incursion and dismantling.

The purpose of this research is therefore to address this issue in order to determine the extent to which the colonial studies of the Algerian southwest have contributed to its occupation and to learn about de Foucault's experience by assessing the gravity and repercussions of its methods.

One of the most important results of this research is the diversity of military and religious talents and expertise of de Foucault.
