The study aimed to identify the extent to which university professors use social networking sites as a tool for distance learning for students, and to identify the obstacles that limit their use, the study adopted the survey curriculum, and the questionnaire as a tool, and applied to a sample of 33 individual professors of the Besa university.

the most important results were that there is a low demand on the part of teachers to use social networking sites as a tool for distance learning, and the existence of obstacles to their use, the most important of which is the consideration of the discussions through which the discussions are considered a waste of time, unequal opportunities among students in the possession of electronic media, loss of scientific honesty, loss of human factor in education, doubt in the means of evaluation.
