This article tackles the position of the parliamentary opposition in the Algerian constitutional system, and the extent to which it exercises its legislative and oversight roles over the work of the government, based on successive Algerian constitutions, targeting the impact of this on the parliamentary performance of Algerian political parties.

Among the most important constitutional rights granted by the founder to the parliamentary opposition, is the right to participate actively in the legislation, to control the work of the government, the right to express and express opinions The study concluded that the parliamentary opposition in Algeria is still somewhat weak due to many factors, compared to the rest of the other democratic systems
