Abstract EN

This study aims to examine the importance of Islamic finance for economic growth, in light of the growth of Islamic finance regionally and internationally, and the adoption of Islamic financial formulas by many international banks.

As successful financing alternatives, especially after the effects of financial crises, the research attempts to empirically estimate the impact of Islamic finance on economic growth in a sample of Islamic countries, using panel models for the period 2008-2020.

The results showed a weak relationship of Islamic finance on economic growth in the study sample due to the weak Islamic financing base and its share of the total assets of the banking sector.

The results also showed the importance of a regulatory and legal environment and economic stability to achieve the objectives of financial development
