Educational curricula, in light of modern educational approaches, seek to create an interactive communicative dynamism that enables the learner to acquire a linguistic knowledge, which enables him/her to possess a linguistic ability and a linguistic competence that allows him to absorb knowledge in a first stage, and then use and employ it in various communicative situations.

This careful and sound use takes into account the rules and laws of the language on the one hand -with the need to take into consideration the recipient’s needs and abilities- and the circumstances of speech and the context in which the communication process takes place, on the other hand.

To what extent have the educational curricula - with its various approaches, including the communicative approach - achieved its didactic goals and cognitive dimensions? What are the mechanisms and methods that can be relied upon to achieve the linguistic competence in its communicative dimension?
