Abstract EN

The current research dealt with the phenomenon of linking the short story's prosperity with the crises of the middle class with application to the case of the Egyptian short story since its inception in connection with the emergence of the Egyptian middle class at the beginning of the twentieth century and its expression of itself in the revolution of 1919, and the emergence of the short story in its modern form at the hands of Muhammad Taymur, and follows this phenomenon and its expressive features until the end of the twentieth century.
