It can be noted that there is some lack of systematic assessment procedures when examining the link between climate change and security in general, or when allocating the development of terrorist movements within environments that suffer from environmental extremism resulting from climate change, or in other words, those environments in which conflicts and disputes are growing as a result of scarcity of resources, making them a fertile environment for the development and prosperity of terrorist movements, and becoming a rear base for their operations.

As the existing of these analytical frameworks is characterized by some explanatory inability to the nature of the relationship as a result of the structural complexities that this relationship carries, and it is not possible to say for sure the causal dimensions between these two variables, but the forms of extremism known within fragile and resource-scarce environments, differ in many aspects from the known terrorism, whether from its brutality or the nature of its operations, which makes it a unique form of terrorism, which can be described as a new wave or strain of terrorism.
