The term “purposes” is one of the most frequently used terms in various sciences.

we find that it has been used a lot in the field of sharia under the name of the purposes of the sharia, and it is added to the Qur’an to be known as the purposes of the Qur’an, and the Holy Qur’an is the primary source of legislation, it may appear to some that the purposes of the Qur’an are the same as the purposes of the legislation, and from here the same question arises: do they really have one meaning? or are they different? if they are different, is there a relationship between them? what are the limits of this relationship? and what are its controls? and I concluded that: the purposes of the Qur’an are comprehensive to the purposes of the Sunnah of the prophet, and then the purposes of Islamic law-the relationship between the purposes of sharia and the purposes of the Holy Qur’an is a complementary relationship.
