Abstract EN

This study aims to highlight the big importance of Paris convention in the field of industrial property especially, and the intellectual property in general, because it plays an essential role in the development of countries' economies, especially if we know that industrial property is the elixir of economic development and technological progress in developed countries.

in this study we will also focus in a specific area in industrial property, which is the field of patents, given its growing importance in many countries-in particular industrial countries-that were framed the field of industrial property in general and patents in particular by rigorous legal provisions clearly stated in Paris convention on industrial property of 1883, as a precursor to the establishment of the foundations of international patent protection with its integrated international provisions and principles, followed by numerous conventions aimed at strengthening this protection, in particular the Washington convention of 19 June 1970 with it’s a procedures contributing to this protection.
