Abstract EN

The administration seeks to follow up the implementation of laws and ministerial decisions related to the protection of the environment, through the restrictions that are imposed on it the legislator places it when practicing any activity that may harm the environment, whether it is an industrial, commercial or agricultural activity.

these restrictions may be preventive, such as prohibition and notification, also may be remedial, such as obligation and authorization.

respecting the conditions and restrictions intended for the protection of the environment the administration can apply various administrative penalties such as fines, license revocation and suspension of work in the violating establishment hence.

the importance of research is evident in highlighting the administrative legal means that the administration possesses in order to preserve on the environment.

the research also aims to clarify the legislative restrictions contained in the environmental protection law and established to protect the environment.

we preferred to follow in this research the descriptive analytical approach to reach a solution to the research problem, from which we reached an important conclusion that the Omani legislator granted wide powers to the administration in signing administrative penalties to establish administrative protection for the environment from all damages that may befall it.

finally we recommend to establish a specialized and effective regulatory body to monitor and control activities that may harm the environment directly or indirectly.
