In order to ensure the protection of fundamental rights and freedoms, the Algerian legislator has regulated the issue of administrative appeal, which is considered the administrative way to settle disputes between the administration and individuals, and it is of two types in Algerian legislation, the first type, which is the administrative grievance submitted by the person concerned to the competent administrative authority to challenge an administrative decision, and the second type, which is the administrative petition, which constitutes a mechanism created under the constitutional amendment of 2020, aimed at protecting rights and freedoms and achieving the public interest.
