This study aims to identify the movement of the Arabic lexicography industry specialized in the field of linguistics and try to evaluate it and reveal its shortcomings, through the study of a lexicon specialized in this field of dictionaries of bilingual linguistic terms, which is the brief dictionary in the linguistic term of Abd al-Jalil Murtad in its first edition, to determine the scope of its adherence to the principles of lexicography industry; in terms of identifying the sources of the collection of terminology, its linguistic levels and conceptual areas, the way it is arranged, defined and the most important supplements contained in this dictionary.
