Abstract EN

This research aims to investigate the lives of some Euro Christian prisoners who lived in the palaces of the Algerian rulers, and what they wrote in their memories about the religious life during serving their masters, such as prayer, Ramadan fasting, supplication, calling to Islam, and committing forbidden things such as drinking alcohol and others.

in conclusion, we highlighted some results the most important one is that the memoirs of these prisoners are an indispensable historical value for writing in any field.

as for the prisoners, despite the good treatment they were treated with and the positions they held, they did not convert to Islam, and some of the practices they witnessed were ridiculed.

while they admit that the life of the captions they spent in Algeria was an experience to learn a lot of useful things in life and develop their skills.
