This study aims to demonstrate the manifestations of the application of the provisione of the convention on the elimination of all forms of discrimination against women, known as the CEDAW convention, to Algerian family law with regard to the provisions and effects of marriage, after this convention forced the Algerian legislator to change its laws in line with the provisions of the convention, which he responded to by amending the family code by order 05 / 02.
