The acts of witchcraft and sorcery are ancient, they are accompanied by the human, social, religious, and psychological heritage of the person, but the commission of these acts made the human a victim with damages related to the mind, the honor, or the money, and also his body, these various damages have made the phenomenon of witchcraft characterized by the fact that it affects public order and is characterized by criminal gravity, therefore legal thinking necessitated that it be devoted to a legal study in the criminal field and attention to this legislative vacuum in terms of criminalization and punishment according to the principle of punitive legality, and what the researcher proposes it about combating the phenomenon of witchcraft and sorcery in Algerian society.
