the philosopher Malek Bennabi is considered one of the pioneers of the thought of renaissance and reform, who lived the problem of underdevelopment in the Islamic world and the intellectual conflict in the colonial countries, which made his approaches start from the individual as the axis of civilization to the network of social relations as the core of history, we aim through this article to discuss the issue of social capital and its role in achieving development from the perspective of Malek Bennabi, relying on the descriptive analytical method and the systemic approach, with the aim of proving that the development process is not a purely material process, but rather is in essence a social value.
