International legislation and the Algerian legislator devoted an aspect in its codification to social issues, leaving space for both honor and consideration crimes.

international covenants, such as the universal declaration of human rights, included a penalty that protects honor and consideration and stipulates the penalty for the offending act, which is what the Algerian legislator pursued as a contributor to that from during his constitutions and punitive and penal codifications.

accordingly, through this research paper, a problem was raised: how effective is the objective regulation of the scope of honor crimes and consideration by international legislation and the Algerian legislator? in order to research it, a number of results were reached, the most important of which are: that honor and consideration are among the most addressed issues, as Islamic legislation has dealt with it and laid foundations and controls for it to limit it, in addition to international legislation.

Algerian legislation defines honor and consideration, giving them legal protection, starting with the constitution with its various amendments, and passing through the penal code, which allocates in its rules many penalties in cases of honor and consideration.
