This article is based on the observation of the ideas and aesthetic principles of the characters of James Joyce’s work, as the stages of the development of the aesthetic and artistic path of the Irish writer, just as they are manifestations of the artistic, aesthetic and religious influences that the writer was exposed to through the process of his creative path, and he tries to answer a specific problem it is based on the nature of the influences that contributed to the formation of the aesthetic path of "James Joyce" and the birth of the open effect for him.

at its end, the article reviews the results of the internal and external influences produced by these influences, which are distributed in the process of the writer's educational path, the impact of catholic Christianity and the symbolism of major structures, which contributed to the creation of "open work" as equivalent to the universe.

despite the multiplicity of these influences and the severity of their impact, the article noted the writer's steadfastness on most of his aesthetic principles that were known about him at the beginning of his creative career.
