The study aimed to reveal the relationship of the adoption of electronic document management standards to the company's will (Sonatrach) to adopt the quality management system.

an interview was the main tool used for data collection, the study reached a set of results, the most important is that the senior management in the place of study provided support for the initiative to implement electronic document management standards in the department, a step that formed the nucleus for the beginning of the project in the parent company, in order to consolidate the endeavors to achieve quality in business.

the study also revealed the orientations of the department's archivists towards the quality of practices.
