This study treats the problem of balancing the freedom of cult, and hate speech, which has become widespread in recent years in Algeria.

the cult freedom means the right to freely profess a religious belief and the practical embodiment of embracing a particular religion by performing behaviors that may be individual or collective with the aim of expressing a belief and obeying its orders and communicating it to others, a freedom that is legally protected, as the Algerian law protected it in many of its texts, although it is a basic freedom, it is not absolute but rather relative, and cannot be taken as a pretext for spreading discrimination and hate speech among society, threatening its unity and harmony, and in an attempt by the Algerian legislator to confront and combat these acts, which have become a real menace to national unity, the law no.
