The Algerian legislator has strengthened the legal protection of the forest environment by bodies and mechanisms whose function was to apply and reflect this protection, the ministry of agriculture and the minister responsible for forests have assumed this task, the management and organization of the sector has been assigned to the national directorate of forests, while at the regional and local level, the conservation of Wilaya forests, protected areas and national parks in areas of unique specificity have been assigned the functions of protecting this forest environment at this level.
