The right to privacy is one the most fundamental human recognized rights.

it has received great attention religions, the texts of international charters and the internal laws of countries, due to its connection to the human entity and its quest to preserve his private, emotional and family life, from intrusion.

the importance of this study highlights the knowledge of the legal status of the imprisoned, in order to determine the extent to which the latter enjoys the right to privacy within the prison walls in Algerian law.
