Abstract EN

This study aims to analyze the effects of the economic crisis caused by the spread of the Coronavirus pandemic on the Algerian economy in 2020, and to track the signs of its overcoming in 2021 using input-output tables (2019-2021) published by the office for national statistics.

as well as the assessment of the evolution of economic performance in 2022.

results show that most branches of economic activity in Algeria were negatively affected at the beginning of the pandemic, as they recorded a decline in the growth of value added in addition to a decrease in the growth of final demand components.

and that the exit from the economic crisis was related to the rise in oil prices as the Algerian economy does not have the elements of the sustainable development.
