Investment is the major link for a developed economy and a sustainable local development, leading the Algerian legislator to enshrine it in Algeria's constitution of 2020 the enactment of act 22-18 brought about indeed a quantum leap in the improvement of the investment climate in Algeria through enhancing investment guarantees and setting up incentive mechanisms so that investment are oriented towards the strengthening of some sectors, promoting marginalized areas and encouraging major job-creating projects as driving forces of the economic activities.

furthermore, the act effected institutional reforms and notably the renaming of the national agency as the Algerian agency for investment promotion and the expansion of its powers.

a digital platform dedicated to investment was thus created to provide necessary information about investment opportunities, available investment land, incentives and preferential advantages, besides, a single national window was established for great projects and foreign investments, similar windows were also created at local level.
