Algeria's economic policy directions, which depend on the withdrawal of the state from the economic field and the assignment of its control to independent governing bodies in the face of executive authority, have necessitated the imposition of surveillance on economic concentrations, granting the exercise of this competence to the competition council.

however, the legislator has briefed the competition board's exercise of the competence referred to in terms of controls that may amount to a denationalization, as it has maintained a space for the executive authority to interfere in the process of granting license to economic concentrations, which could constitute a serious excess of the competition board's jurisdiction, presumably inherent jurisdiction.
