Burnout is emotional fatigue syndrome and depletion of energy and resources due to occupational stressors, which results in a decrease in efficiency and a decline in professional performance.

this study aimed to know the relationship of burnout with self-esteem, in our research, we relied on the descriptive approach, the research sample consisted of 40 midwives at the maternity clinic in Mostaganem, to collect data, we applied the Maslach burnout scale and the Rosenberg self-esteem scale to analyze the data, the SPSS statistical analysis system was relied on where the research results came as follows: there is a statistically negative correlation between burnout and self-esteem.
