Abstract EN

This study examines the impact of monetary policy on economic growth in Algeria using a structural vector auto regression (SVAR) approach.

the results show that monetary policy shocks have a significant impact on the Algerian economy, with a positive effect on output in the short term.

however, the effect fades away in the long term, suggesting that other factors, such as structural reforms, may be needed to sustain growth.

these findings have important implications for policymakers in Algeria and other developing countries, as they highlight the need for a balanced approach to monetary policy to support economic growth and stability.
