Abstract EN

This paper aims to elucidating the features of the Arabic of the Holy Qur'an and their impact on the process of transferring the meanings of the Holy Quran to other languages.

An analytical comparison of three French translations is carried out on the light of the features of the Qur'an's perspicuous tongue which vocabulary is familiar to the Arwhereas its use, in the Quranic context, is unusual.

The study concluded that the specificity of the Quranic tongue requires a good command by the translator of its Arabic so that to produce a translation approaching the abounding meanings of the holy text.
