Abstract EN

This article deals with the subject of the parliamentary inquiry in mauritania between the absence of a constitutional provision and the failure of the parliament's rules of procedure, and what this raised legal problems on the theoretical level.

there are important political and legal consequences, starting with the referral of the investigation file to justice, passing by the dismissal of the government and ending with the initiation of the modification of certain legal texts regulating some of the areas under investigation.

We relied on the analytical approach to reveal the shortcomings of the legal texts regulating the investigation of the parliament.

we also FOLLOWED the comparative approach to benefit from the experiences of other countries in this field, in particular France and Morocco.
