Abstract EN

This research aimed at shed light on the educational role of the family to protect children from extremism and fanaticism from the academicians and administrators' perspective at College of Education, Al-Mahra.

the researcher adopted the descriptive approach through designing a questionnaire consisted of (30) items in one field, which was applied to a random sample of (43) academicians and administrators.

the research came up with that the average degree of the approval of the educational role of the family from the academicians and administrators' perspective was (4.52) out of (5), which is a very high degree .the paragraph of instilling the teachings of the Islamic religion and correct moderate values in the hearts of children came first with an average of (4.90), which is a very high degree.

the paragraph of establishing the principle of monotheism in the heart of the child to feel Allah’s control over man and to see him came second with an average of (4.86), which is a very high degree.

it indicated the absence of significant statistical differences in the response of the sample attributed to the variables (gender, age, academic qualification, occupation).
