Abstract EN

The current Study aimed to identify the training needs for the families of children with autism spectrum disorder in Tabuk City, the Study applied an intentional sample of 37 father and mother (15 father and 22 mother).

Studying the questionnaire consisted of thirty-five paragraphs divided into five dimensions for each dimension of seven paragraphs as follows: the cognitive dimension, the skill dimension, the behavioral dimension, the academic and professional dimension, the indicative dimension, and the indications of validity and reliability were achieved for the questionnaire.

The data were analyzed through the statistical package (SPSS), by using the averages of participants performance on the questionnaire, and ANOVA analysis.

The results of the Study indicated that the training needs of families of children with autism spectrum disorder in all areas are high on all dimensions of dimensions (cognitive, skill, behavioral, academic and vocational).

The results indicated that there is a statistically significant difference according to the gender variable on the fourth dimension (academic and vocational) in favor mothers, and there was no statistical difference according to the variable of the educational Stage of the parents and the level of family vinegar.

And the promotion of educational and training programs of this category in schools and institutes to suit their needs and the needs of their families.
