Abstract EN

This study aimed at identify the impact of development of the medical technology unit in the light of the interaction between faith and technology on developing reflective thinking skills and dealing with medical devices and materials among sixth-grade students in Palestine.

the researchers used the quasi-experimental approach and the study tools were a test of reflective thinking skills and an observation card for the skills of dealing with medical devices and materials.

the study sample consisted of (67) students who were randomly chosen.

the sample was divided into two groups.

the experimental group (34) students, who studied according to the developed unit, and the control group (33) students, who studied according to the traditional unit.

the result of the study showed that there was a statistically significant difference at the level (α = 0.05) between the average scores of the experimental group and their peers in the control group in the post-application of the reflective thinking test in favor of the experimental group.

moreover, there was a statistically significant difference at the level (α = 0.05) between the mean scores of the experimental group students and their peers in the control group in the post application of the observation card in favor of the experimental group.

the study recommended the necessity of linking school curricula in general and technology curriculum in particular to the faith aspect, and enriching technology curriculum with higher thinking skills in general and reflective thinking skills in particular.
