Religious beliefs in the north of the Arabian Peninsula had a great role in the emergence and prosperity of its civilizations, and those beliefs were distinguished by the diversity of their idolatry, and among the northern gods, the most prominent idol, Rado.

What was mentioned frequently in the Thamudic and Safavid inscriptions and in several forms differed between the two civilizations, although their contents agreed that the deity (Radhu) assumed a high position in the complex of the Thamudian and Safavid deities, and his worship moved from the Thamudians-by virtue of their primacy in the inscriptions-to the Safavids through their participation in herding, trade and control over Its routes are through the Sarhan Valley, although Rado was given a special place by the Safavids in the military aspect as the god of war.
