Abstract EN

This study aims at focusing on the current situation of the Takaful insurance in the UAE as it pioneered it, and the obstacles blocking its success.

moreover, the study aims at tackling the current situation of the Takaful insurance in Algeria (the ''Algeria Salama insurance'' company), in order to draw lessons from the Emirati experience.

the results show that the insurance committee in the UAE has a prominent role in the success of the Takaful insurance by setting regulations and issuing financial provisions.

however, the conventional insurance companies still hold the keys of the insurance market in the UAE similarly to Algeria.

if Algeria wants to boost the Takaful insurance, it must enact the laws and the regulations that organize it ; in addition to the awareness rose about the Takaful insurance and authoring the establishment of the new Takaful insurance companies that abide by the Islamic sharia.
