This research paper aims to highlight the nature of the relationship between the ego and the other through Taha Hussein's summer trip to Paris, in which he recalled the beauty of the other and its positivity, whether on the intellectual, social, ideological or artistic level, and on the other hand, the negativity of the ego and its defects, and sometimes he reflects the image, but to a slightly low.

this dialectic often made him feel exhausted and anxious and pushed him to isolation and introversion, so he preferred to sit alone with his pen in order to scrutinize on his reality and his past and compare between the eastern ego to which he belongs and the western one that is fascinated by it.
